FREMONT, CA: NBS Technologies, a provider of software and equipment provider for financial card personalization, announces that it has supplied Horizon Evolution HD with Integrated Mailing system and EMV Software to Smart Card IT Solutions (SCIT). SCIT manufactures and markets smart cards and deals with a plethora of sectors like businesses in government, immigration, telecommunications and transportation. It also includes banking, health, insurance, security and entertainment industry among others. With this latest move, SCIT wants to leverage NBS technology to support their new banking card personalization bureau opportunity. Horizon Evolution HD is a card personalization system that is equipped with purpose specific Card Personalization Elements (CPE’S) like: Dualco Magnetic Stripe Encoder CPE, which is software selectable and provides greater speed, Vision inspection CPE which provides full in-line quality tool capable of Optical Character Recognition (OCR), embossing, indent and printed Image verification against the data file. This system, combined with Europay, MasterCard and Visa (EMV) solutions –a global standard for inter-operation of smart cards and IC card capable point of sale (POS) terminals as well as automated teller machines (ATMs), is used for verifying credit and debit card transactions –resulting in a streamlined operational process.
